Coach Laura is the owner and founder of Fusion Family Fitness. She is a certified CanfitPro Trainer, Joga coach, Yoga instructor and has worked with many junior and professional sports teams from the NHL, CFL and WHL. She is also our resident CHN Holistic Nutritional Consultant. Laura is also a hockey mama with two busy teenage boys which yes keeps her on her toes!
Laura has endless energy and truly gets filled up by training and coaching her clients. She left a career in IT to pursue fitness and nutrition and is so grateful to be able to do what she loves each and every day!
Coach Pam is a born and raised Calgary girl, who worked for 10 years in oil and gas, but has now been given the opportunity to try something new, which has started with the Fusion Fitness Family. She grew up playing sports and have always been a tad bit competitive. However, after two knee surgeries her outlook has changed to focus on functional fitness. She wants to be able to hike, ski, and play with my family injury free.
After having my son, She joined Laura Flood's fitness classes and was hooked by the energy, challenge, and variety of workouts that kept me motivated and coming back.
Fitness isn't about a number on a scale or a size of clothing, its about having the energy and strength to run around with the kids and demonstrating the importance of daily physical activity with them.
Coach Kathy is a born and raised Calgarian who currently resides in Rockyview County with her husband and three young children. She is a certified fitness instructor through Canfitpro and has a BA from Mount Royal University.
She is an avid reader, when her kids allow her, and an outdoor enthusiast. When she isn’t chasing or racing her three minis, she loves to go biking, hiking, running and all things active.
Beyond these activities, Kathy enjoys motivating people to be the best that he or she can be whether it is through fitness or healthy lifestyles. She loves building communities and establishing lasting connections.
After 13 years working as an oil and gas Geologist, Coach Holly is excited to be moving forward into a career supporting people's health and wellbeing.
Growing up as a severe asthmatic prevented Holly from engaging in many childhood sports. By highschool, she joined the cross country running team and it changed her life. She gradually became more fit, confident, and embraced the community. Ever since, fitness has been a pillar in her life and she enjoys staying active with her husband and three children.
Holly believes health and wellness is all about creating the life you want by having freedom of movement, building resilience and preventing injury.
Holly is a certified Yoga Teacher (RYS 200, Yoga Alliance) and Spin instructor (Mad Dogg). She is in the process of completing her canfitpro FIS certification.
Coach Pavlina grew up in Edmonton but spent some time living in the US before moving back to Alberta ten years ago and settling into the Springbank area. She lives with her husband, three kids, three cats and Golden Retriever. Pavlina always enjoyed staying active throughout her childhood and dabbled in all the fitness trends as a young adult. It wasn’t until her 30’s that she realized the connection between a healthy body and a healthy mind and knew it needed to be a daily priority in her life.
She enjoys all aspects of fitness, from Spin, Barre, Yoga, Weight Training and everything in between. Pavlina is a certified ALFCA instructor, specializing in Portable Equipment. She loves helping people achieve their fitness goals and watch them improve.
Outside of the gym, she loves cooking, running, hiking, taking her dog off leash, gardening and time with family and friends.
Coach Alexis has been a lifelong sports fanatic. She has a degree in Physical & Health Education from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Education specializing in Phys-Ed from Nipissing University, and has completed her Special Olympics Level 1 N.C.C.P Coaching Certificate. Alexis brings a wealth of training experience with her as a former competitive athlete, including experience as a member of the Queen’s University Varsity Volleyball team.
In addition to her education and background in athletics, Alexis is also a certified Yoga Teacher (RYS 200HR). Alexis believes strong women create strong families, and loves nothing more than guiding others along their path to their fullest potential. In her spare time you can find Alexis hiking, eating, reading or camping with her husband, two kids, and friends.
Coach Shannon is a fitness enthusiast, earning her black belt in Karate as a teen and does aerial acrobatics and hikes with her husband, dog and son for fun. She qualified to teach Pilates with the YMCA in 2016 and has been teaching Mat Pilates and pre and postnatal Pilates for 5 years. She is also an avid travel, having lived in 8 countries and has travelled to 36 countries by the age of 35! She is a qualified Principal, French Immersion teacher in early childhood education, travel photographer and mother to an 8 month old baby
